Big Lottery Fund: Video Project

During 2014 Tees Music Alliancepresented a community video project with support from Big Lottery Fund under their Awards for All strand of funding.

The project saw local volunteers working alongside a professional film maker to create high quality digital content such as music videos, documentaries and tasters for local musicians.  The final films are all being hosted on our TMA YouTube Channel (details at the foot of the page...) - but we've featured a selection of the work on this page...

During the build up to the Stockton Calling festival in April, we took over local record shop Sound It Out Records to stage some live performances....with our novice film crews capturing footage under challenging conditions amongst the shelves and record racks...

This is Serinette...

...and this is The Panoramic...

In this film, singer-songwriter Andy Jones, performs a song from his album.  The video was conceived by Andy, working with our film maker.

We organised a weekend of filming for local artists to come down and be filmed by project participants... we set up our two venues as a double sound stage and filmed a succession of bands to promote their appearance at the 2014 Stockton Weekender festival...  This is Avalance Party...

... and this is Cellar Door...

... and this is Dinnernanny...

In this video, local film maker Harley Spence takes a look behind the scenes of the last ever Stockton Weekender festival - as well as getting some thoughts from festival attendees.

You can see more of the films produced through this project on our YouTube channel at Tees Music TV
